Many of my follow-up questions remain unanswered, but I understand that you wish to end this discussion, so I'll respect that. It's an irrational but not uncommon prejudice that you would presume people like me who care about farmed animal welfare are apathetic about human rights and welfare. Nothing could be further from the truth in my case (in words and deeds) and, commonly, among other animal advocates/activists too. For us, social justice simply includes all sentient life, just as it includes all human races and minorites. Syd Baumel
